Book Recommendation by Salvatore Zurzolo

Written By NRIGirl on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 | Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Peaks resident Salvatore Zurzolo recommends a book by his colleague Elijah Muhammad. The rest is in Salvatore's words:

A colleague of mine has self-published a book, I thought some of you might be interested or know someone who might be interested. Here is the press release: The book can be purchased exclusively at http://www.blurb.com/

Entertainment Photographer Elijah Muhammad and former entertainment publicist and best-selling author LaJoyce Brookshire have joined forces to release the book The Last Listening Party of The Notorious B.I.G.

In 1997, Elijah Muhammad was the official photographer for the listening party of Life After Death the new album release from The Notorious B.I.G. held at Arista Records in New York City hosted by his publicist LaJoyce Brookshire. No one would have thought that two weeks later Biggie would be dead.

LaJoyce Brookshire was Arista's Director of R&B Publicity and handled Biggie from the beginning of his career until his death who then became a Naturopathic Doctor and the best-selling author of Soul Food, Faith Under Fire, and Ask The Good Doctor. With her first-hand narrative she takes readers on a
never-before-told behind the scenes journey from her first encounter with Biggie to their last.

On the pages of this book Elijah's photography captures a rare side of Biggie with journalists in his element...music -- his music. Elijah has photographed such icons as Vanessa Williams, Queen Latifah, and Sean Diddy Combs to name a few and has held gallery showcases featuring his photography. Muhammad and Brookshire are touring sharing with audiences about their experiences with the larger than life icon and how collecting photography can be profitable. This pictorial is a collectors item with these never-before-released photographs bringing new meaning to the words of Life After Death.

The book can be purchased exclusively at http://www.blurb.com/
